Get ready to get your hands dirty!  We are offering a unique opportunity to learn both the basics and sophisticated techniques for making both home-style and elevated and delicious pasta.  You may know how to make it at home -- but you’ve never made it like this!  Join us on this special day and learn from the experts how to make exceptional pasta.  Rediscover working in the kitchen with your hands and having a great time eating some antipasto and of course drinking some Italian red wine as you learn new techniques.  Receive a complimentary Chaine logo apron to prepare you for this journey.  And take home your own pasta at the end of the night!

We have assembled an exceptional group to teach us pasta making and prepare our dinner.  First and foremost, Antoinetta Pendleton -– an authentic Italian “nonna” and a pasta industrialist who has supplied many of the premier restaurants in Philadelphia -- will lead us in the intricacies of pasta making.  Also, our own Geno Betz, three time Chaine Jeune Commis Regional winner, and executive chef of Stateside, will impart a really special stuffed pasta.  Finally, Chaine chefs Ben Wurst and Joe Koye will contribute a sublime ravioli and a rabbit course.

Following the pasta making, we will sit down to an Italian Sunday dinner that features the same pastas that you created (but rested beforehand), accompanied by sauces and other accompaniments such as rabbit, truffles, and other delights, prepared by the students at the venue and paired with excellent Italian wines.

This special event will take place at a most unusual venue, the Restaurant School at Walnut Hill, owned and operated by our own Danny Liberatoscioli.  Danny is President of a school that turns out extraordinary chefs and he has designed dining spaces to create an experience for the public which far transcends what you would normally expect of a school.  The main dining room where we will convene after the pasta instruction looks like a courtyard of a fine Italian villa.

This event is casual (jeans encouraged) with ribbons after the pasta making for the dinner.  Parking is free, in a private lot on school grounds.  Guests are welcome.

You have the option of arriving after the conclusion of the pasta class if you would like to have dinner only.  After you register, we will contact you to get your plans.
