As our members know, I sent out a note this morning cancelling the venue since I thought the restaurant had closed its doors.  Well, my note was premature because the great news is that this afternoon they confirmed that they are reopening much earlier than we thought!  Chaine Unplugged At The Table will proceed!  Members and friends of Delaware Valley Chaine are all welcome to attend this wonderful event.

At The Table has received 3 bells from Laban.  Chef Alex Hardy has studied under a who’s who of Main Line chefs, including three that our Bailliage has visited in the past, Andrew Deery of Majolica, Peter Gilmour of Gilmour, and Ralph Fernandez of Autograph.  Alex's cuisine is inventive, flavorful and reminds one in its presentation of a little bit of Nick Elmi in miniature.

Here's the way it works:  we each bring wine and enjoy good food and each other's company.  Simple. This is Chaine Unplugged.  All of us getting together without the usual ceremony and extensive organization of a regular Chaine event.  Sometimes in the dog days of summer it’s all you need.  The menu, created just for us, is enclosed below and we have had added a number of suggested wine pairings because it is BYOB!  But of course, you are welcome to not worry about pairings and simply bring what you like.  No wine will be provided at this event and there will be no cocktail hour so don't forget to bring a bottle!  As people arrive you will all be seated, first come, first served, open seating.  Do not delay, seating is limited.

FIRST

Heirloom Tomato Burrata Salad

Burrata, Melon, Mint Oil, Basil, Peaches

Vermentino, Albarinho, any light white wine

SECOND

Hudson Valley Foie Gras

Blackberry Pureé, Pickled Mustard Seeds, Brioche Crumbs

Sauternes, Riesling

THIRD

Arctic Char

Tomato Olive Salsa, Pickled Fennel

Rich white wine, pinot noir, rosé, light red

FOURTH

Beef TenderLoin Oscar

Lump Crab, Bernaise, Maitake Mushroom

Full bodied red


Parking should be easy, with several spots on Louella Court and many more in the municipal lot nearby.
