When Blackfish burst upon the scene in 2006, it was a breath of fresh air for the Main Line. Chef/Proprietor Chip Roman had studied under Georges Perrier and Marc Vetri, and had been running his own catering business. Blackfish earned many accolades when they opened and many more in the years since. Today Blackfish remains one of the best restaurants on the Main Line and we are pleased to return here (we last dined here in 2013) for what promises to be a delightful event which will take advantage of the season of autumn.
Some of the wines we will pour will include gems from our own Delaware Valley cellar. The Kistler chardonnay has been aging perfectly so we will make every attempt to pair it on this evening!
Here is our preliminary menu:
Passed Hors D'oeuvre
Tuna Tartar with Smoked Jalapeno Broth
Warm Honey Squash Soup with Thyme & Farmer Cream
Wild Mushroom Arancini
Dinner Menu
Chicken Liver & Foie Gras Tart
huckleberry, xeres, compressed radish
Gently Smoked Scottish Salmon
crispy hen egg, Idaho potato, sour cream, mizuna
Glazed Beef Short Rib
