Beyond Brunch: A Matinee Dining Event

One of the best things about the Chaine is that our events go beyond the ordinary and the expected.  At the Blue Bell Country Club on January 20, this is exactly what will happen.  One of our members who lives about three minutes away was skeptical so we brought him to our test dinner.  He was amazed.  It is always immensely satisfying to experience a chef's creations which go above and beyond.

This will not be a brunch buffet like we have had in the past but a served multi-course feast which will have many of your favorite brunch ingredients reinvented in a creative and unique way.  Executive Chef Abu Abubakar brings his vision to this event and draws inspiration from his native Kenya to create amazing and unusual flavors.  Here are some of the dishes you will enjoy:

We will have kippered salmon with a latke that looks like a knish and tastes sublime.  One of us coined a new word for it -- knishke.   Yes, your dinner committee had a lot of fun planning this event.  Another dish will be American Elk with persimmons and a kale marmalade.  Another course features lobster!  And still another, an old favorite, steak and eggs, with kobe beef and a white truffle brioche.

And to top it all off, Pastry Chef Sam Nahaas, who has competed in the Chaine's Jeune Commis pastry competition, has created an extravagant dessert platter full of samples of the finest petit-fours, pastries and creme brulees, to name a very few.

We have paired two wines  with each course because there are so many flavors you will be excited to sample and decide which wine is best.

This will be an afternoon feast which will leave you satiated and happy.  Come join us and experience Chaine camaraderie at its best and prepare to be amazed!  Guests are welcome so bring a friend or two and introduce them to the Chaine.
