Last year the Delaware Valley Chaine traveled to Montreal. The trip was so well received that everyone was asking where are we going next year? We polled a number of members and Charleston SC was the winner! This is an amazing city, and here are a couple critiques for you.

It's truly a foodie's paradise, in fact there is a Chaine Bailliage there and we plan to hook up with them at least once during the trip.
Last year we put the hotel tab on one account. This year our hotel, the Mills House, a Hilton property, has agreed to individual charges so you can gain points on your Hilton account! And here is a sneak peek at the tentative itinerary, which is all-inclusive:
You will stay at the luxurious and perfectly located Mills House. Centrally located and convenient walking distance to many, many sights and restaurants. We are putting together a welcome cocktail on Friday night.
Friday afternoon is a walking food and history tour of the city. You will see that direct flights from Philadelphia land quite early on Friday.
Dinner on Friday choose between Zero George, a beautiful prix fixe dinner, or Wild Common, whose executive chef is very talented.
Saturday lunch TBD.
Dinner on Saturday at Honeysuckle Rose. A multi-course dinner that draws upon many elements of local cuisine. We are aiming to buy out the whole restaurant and have our Chaine friends from Charleston join us!
Breakfasts are up to you, except a final brunch on Sunday at High Cotton. Airfare is not included.
We have not finalized exact costs but we anticipate that your all-inclusive price will be less than $1200 and possibly $1000. Less than Montreal since we are covering only food and drink, not accommodations.
As always, rest assured that your Bailli and all involved with planning are also paying these numbers! In fact, Doug and Kathy Martinides, Matt and Ellen and Lisa Jacobs had a scouting trip last month (which was fantastic) on our own dime.
This initial communication is brief but we know that many of you have expressed your interest in going, so we want to get a big headstart. This invitation is going to our members only, not our entire mailing list, in case we sell out.
